This survey enables you to evaluate the effectiveness of the Information Technology system of an organization. This survey is based on CobiT a tool developed by ISACA. An executive summary of COBIT is available here.
COBIT defines IT activities in a generic process model within four domains. These domains are Plan and Organize, Acquire and Implement, Deliver and Support, and Monitor and Evaluate. The domains map to traditional IT responsibility areas of plan, build, run and monitor and are related as shown in this diagram:
There are 34 IT processes to be examined in this survey. These processes are listed on the next page. For each process, you will be asked to evaluate where the organization stands on a scale from one to six.
There are no right or wrong answers. For example, a small organization may deliberately choose to operate on an ad hoc basis rather to fail in implementing an overly costly infrastructure.
To run the evaluation, click each on item in the top right menu. Enter your response in the appropriate line of the lower right menu. Remember to click on submit when you are done.
In this demo version, there is no way of saving a preliminary result. So if you need to take a break, please write down your results before quitting. You should allow at least half an hour to take the survey. You can see results here and here.
